Lions unable to make up deficit on the road

LEXINGTON, KY - The Mount St. Joseph Lions traveled to Transylvania University to take on the Pioneers in a conference battle. The Mount was not able to turn their luck around in this competition with the score falling in favor of the opposing team with a final score of 90-60.

The Lions could not catch a break in the first half of the game with the Pioneers going to score 60 points to the Lions 30. The Mount was struggling from the three point line. Transylvania found a way to capitalize on the Lions mistakes while The Mount could not do the same. The Mount was able to hold the Pioneers to only 30 points in the second half but were unable to make up the ground that was lost in the first quarter.

Four Lions were able to get over double digits in this Wednesday's competition. Lainee Studer (Pleasant Plain, OH/Little Miami) gathered 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Maddie Haberthy (Cincinnati, OH/Mercy) was able to snag 13 points and 2 assists. Both Alehia Tucker (Covington, KY/Holy Cross) and Mackenzie Marcum (Mason, OH/Kings) each obtained 10 points against the Pioneers and shared 8 rebounds evenly.
