Lions set to attend third annual Cincinnati area small college football media day.

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Mount St. Joseph University football team will once again take part in the Cincinnati Area Small College Football Media Day, this will be the third annual event to be held at the Holy Grail Banks. 

This year the media day will take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, and is slated to feature the Lions along with the Quaker of Wilmington College and The Eagles of Cincinnati Christian University. Each institution will bring its head football coach and a student-athlete from the Cincinnati area to be interviewed by the media in attendance. 

The Holy Grail Banks is providing an buffet of pizza, appetizers and beverages for the cost of 10 dollars for those in attendance. 

Representing the Lions with Coach Hopperton will be the leaders of the offensive and defensive units. Quarterback Chaiten Tomlin (Mt. Orab, Ohio/Western Brown) and middle linebacker Sean Sullivan (Covington, Ky./Holmes), Tomlin comes into the season holding all of the MSJ school passing records and Sullivan will lead a defensive group coming off an outstanding season in 2018-19. 

The Mount will open the 2019 season by hosting Geneva College at Schueler Field on Saturday, Sep. 7 at 1:30 PM.
