The Mount is voted to finish 6th in the HCAC

The Mount voted by the league coaches is projected to finish 6th in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in a pre-season poll. Last season the Lions finished with a 5-12-1 record which lead them to a sixth place finish while finishing 4-5 in conference play. The Lions are looking to continue to improve from last season and surpise a lot of people with a conference tournament run this season.

The conference coaches voted 6 Lions on the Players to Watch list for The Mount. The list included Sophomores, Joshua Bailey (Winchester, Ky./George Rogers Clark) and Cameron Willis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lasalle), Junior Justin Ives (Florence, Ky./St. Henry) and Seniors Alonzo Garcia Alvarez (Cleves, Ohio/Harrison), Nathan Schmeusser (West Harrison, Ind./East Central) and Zachary Tegge (Cincinnati, Ohio/Lasalle). These Lions look to make immediate impact on the field and lead the Lions to victory.

The Lions return 3 seniors, Nathan Schmeusser , Zachary Tegge and Alonzo Garcia Alvarez. These seniors hope to lead a youth heavy team including 12 freshman and 9 sophomores to a successful season. Coach Rudy Argueta prepares the Lions for his 11th season at The Mount as their season kicks off on September 3rd at Schueler Field versus Wilminton (Ohio) at 7:00PM.
