OSTRANDER, Ohio -- The Mount St. Joseph Women's Golf team traveled to Ostrander, Ohio and The Mill Creek Golf Club to take part in the 2019 Laura Bump Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. The Lions had a steady performance, shooting an opening round 332 and a second round 334 to finish the tournament in third place.
Freshman Patricia Windholtz (Newark, Ohio/Newark Catholic) led the way for the Lions over the weekend. She fired in a an opening round 77 to lead the Lions, she followed that up with a second round 160. Windholtz finished with a 16-over par 160, which was good enough to tie her for 6th place overall.
Also having good weekends for the Lions was Isabella Olthaus (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton), Emma Schrand (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley), Sarah Eads (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain), Hayley Quatman (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley), and Carissa Pitts (Trenton, Ohio/Edgewood). Each of these six finished in the top-21 in the tournament individually.
The Lions will return to the course next weekend as they travel to The Mohican Hills Golf Club in Wooster, Ohio. They will take part in the Wooster Spring Invitational hosted by Wooster College.
