The Lions continue their four game win streak with win over Thomas More

LOCATION: BB&T Field (Crestview Hills, Ky.)

THE BASICS:

The Lions traveled to Thomas More College to take on the Saints in a Wednesday night match up. The Lions got on the board quickly and played outstanding defense to keep the Saints scoreless. The Lions would go on to win the match 1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Lions wasted no time connecting with the goal. Kara Vennemeier (Harrison, OH / Harrison) found the back of the net from a Kaylan Gruber (Harrison, OH / Harrison) in the 7th minute. The Lions controlled the tempo of the game, not allowing their opponent any shots on goal in the first half.  The Lions kept their lead going into halftime. The second half would be a slow one as no one was able to connect with the net. The Lions only allowed two shots in the second half while they would take six. The Lions controlled the second half and were able to keep their lead to take a 1-0 victory over the Saints of Thomas More.

LIONHEARTED PERFORMANCE:

Vennemeier earns the LionHeart Performance for her goal against the Saints. This is her third goal of the season. The Lions defense was stellar in this match, only allowing two shots during the whole match.
